Data deletion
You can remove Veranda's access immediately by uninstalling the Slack app. You can also ask us to delete remaining pilot, workspace, or support data.
1. Uninstall from Slack
- Open your workspace's Slack app management page.
- Select Veranda.
- Choose the option to remove or uninstall the app and confirm.
Slack then notifies Veranda of the uninstall. Veranda marks the workspace uninstalled and clears its stored Slack access and refresh tokens. Translation requests will stop working.
2. Request deletion
Email support@useveranda.com with the subject Veranda data deletion request. Include:
- the Slack workspace name;
- your Slack workspace URL or workspace ID, if known;
- whether you want workspace data, a pilot application, support correspondence, or all associated data deleted; and
- an email address where we can confirm completion.
Do not include message content, passwords, tokens, or other secrets.
3. Verification and timing
To protect the workspace, we may verify that a workspace-level request comes from a current Slack admin or owner. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days and will explain if applicable law or a security need requires limited information to be retained longer.
4. What deletion does not remove
- Messages and translations already posted in Slack remain controlled by the workspace and its Slack retention settings.
- Information already deleted from active Tally records may remain in Tally's recoverable Trash for up to 90 days.
- The current translation provider may retain requests and responses in default abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days.
- Resend may retain inbound and outbound email data for up to 30 days.
- We may retain a minimal record that a request was received and completed, or information required by law or necessary to resolve abuse or security incidents.
